We had the jalapeno hushpuppies for an appetizer, they were delicious. I had the fried fish which was delicious. The people with me had a very large portabello burger and a gator poboy. We were all very pleasantly pleased.
This restaurant service was SO RUDE. No one was helpful. The waitress was horrible and brought one meal every 20 minutes. DO NOT spend money here.
My husband & I enjoyed this place so much, we went back twice in one day. The atmosphere was great. The bartenders were very friendly & the beer was cold & the food was great. We will definitely make frequent visits in our future & recommend the Pioneer Pub to others.
Food was much better than we anticipated for pub food, very good. Wait staff very friendly and attenative. Atmosphere, inviting. Unfortunately, there were two different groups at the bar and both had an individual that was loud, very disruptive, and obviously drunk. We mentioned it to the waitress and asked if we could move, which helped a bit, but these two kept having disruptive outbursts that kept interrupting our conversation and we were on the other side of the pub.
Food is great. Beer isn't too expensive. If you aren't used to Natchitoches water, don't drink the water.
