When I noticed an unexplained charge 0f $9.81 when paying my rent online, I called for an explanation. I was told since I failed to lock my unit a couple of days ago, their policy is to place a new lock and bill me for it. I tried to explain that I had not been to this unit in over 2 months. I have rented this unit for several years, it has my Mothers stuff in it. I was told there was nothing they could do. I had to pay it. Come to find out, the unit was broken into. They did not notify me or the Police. They did nothing but put a new lock on it and then bill me for it. Very little security. The owners are hidden out of state.
