We moved in 2014 and moved out 2016! At first there was peace and quiet but then we discovered how thin the walls were when college students moved next door (noise and noise)! Funny, I recall the owner saying, “we don’t like renting to college students” while we were sitting at her desk! Each semester, the parking lot would fill and we had to fight for our spaces! We were told we had two but discovered we had only one...quoted our manager! We had a total of four different managers during our stay! To make this short, we rented a steam cleaner, mopped, dusted and had the manager do a look-through upon moving! We had given our notices and expected a refund near $700! I received a check in the mail at our new house we purchased for $24!!! That manager sent me falsified pictures of painting issues by previous maintenance,etc! I have plenty of good pictures I had taken over time. Needless to say we regret two years living at Magnolia Place Townhomes! They are expensive and someone is deceptive! Shop around before renting!!!!
New in town on business and found Magnolia Place Townhomes through a colleague at work that recommended staying here.. Have lived here now over two weeks and am very pleased at the accommodations that have been made by the office manager Tammy in order to get a unit "ready" for my arrival as I required a furnished setup. Anything requested was made available as quickly as possible and I have been treated with respect and professionalism.
Horrible people to rent from, very nice apartments and the managers are nice until you move in, You will not get your deposit back. They will not fix anything. They have had several managers leave (at least four while I was there)
The worst is MANAGEMENT. I will tell one of the stories I have, and know more as fact. We were told we would receive our deposit back if we cleaned. So we did. We were given a receipt saying we would get 700$ back within 30 days. We received 450$ in 36 days. Stating that we did not clean the carpet ( 200$ charge) or clean behind dryer (50$ charge) . We did not clean behind dryer. That is true, but we have receipt where we rented the steam cleaner. She does not want to pay anyone to clean the apartment and she doesn't refund deposit when the apartment was cleaned properly by leaving tenants. I could keep ranting. So done. We Will be checking out the right legal avenues to take.
I lived here for over 2 years. The area is nice and quite. That's all I can say nice. The apartments have low quality flooring and appliances.
I do know all 5 of the office managers that I have been friendly with were unhappy there. I worked BRIEFLY here too. Can tell lots of negative stories.
I've lived here for almost two years and I have never had a complaint about anything here. It is always quiet and peaceful and the safest place in town. It's right by a church, just outside of the busy part of town, and still close to all the fun downtown shops, restaurants, and the University. Only takes 5 minutes to get to the University. Best place in town to live hands down.
