Great meat pies. Spice dialed down on Xmas lights weekend presumably for the amateur hour. Quite often closed for special events, can be quite difficult for the out of towner to get a pie.

We were visiting Natchitoches and decided we had to have an original meat pie so we get to Lasyones at 3om right when they closed but fortunately for us, the lady let us in anyway. They staff was so nice and friendly. The meat pie was delicious!! Great food, staff and ambience. Defiantly be back!!!
We didn't go inside. They were frying outside today for Christmas festivities downtown. We had both meatier and crawfish pies. Filling was delicious and plentiful. Definitely a cut above the others around these parts. If you love the gas station ones around here, you should try the original anytime you get the chance. Also, I will add that theirs are not full of rice and other fillers and are larger. Well wOrth the price difference. A delicious treat, especially to those of us who no longer live in the area!
Lasyone's is definitely a Natchitoches hometown restaurant. I stop here regularly when in town. I have taken friends, relatives and small tour groups here over a 30 year period. The cuisine is superb, local to the area and second to none. If you are a visitor to Natchitoches eat here first. Lasyone's is more than an excellent restaurant with superb food & wait staff...it is a Natchitoches landmark, tradition and a cultural experience!!!!!!!
