For years our friends have raved about The Landing. Walking through the door at 4 PM we smelled a musty old smell. The hostess was nowhere to be found. When she did show up we had to wait for a table to be cleaned. We waited another 30 minutes and finally had to ask for a waiter. Service and food were terrible. We were told even though it says on the menu that the meal came with a salad they didn’t bring one unless asked. After 2 1/2 hours we had to wait once again for the check. Never again will we enter those doors. Mamas and Papas will get our business for sure just like we always have.
Great food, wonderful server, but on this very busy Saturday in the holiday season, the management sabotaged any chance the wait staff had of getting decent tips by woefully understaffing. We waited two and a half hours for our food after we ordered - I thought the poor waiter was going to die of embarrassment. Then, when he asked his manager what he could take off our bill to make up for our wait - she wouldn't even give a discount. Our waiter paid for our dessert himself to try to make up for it all.
This was place is so beautiful! I loved the decor, almost like a black and white movie with Frank Sinatra singing in the rain. The food was outstanding! The waitress was so pleasant and attentive. We would have tipped more if it wasn't so pricey. That's the only thing that stops me from giving this place a 5. Regardless, if your hungry, are looking for something delicious, and local brew, this is the place!
Worse place ever Expensive and small serving nasty tasting bland food a four year old can cook and make a better meal.
Surprised that they weren't ready for the crowd, but they made up for it with good service and free apps and dessert. Food was cooked to perfection.
